Įn route to the island, Jack approaches McCoy while he is standing at the bow. Featherstone reminds of him of McCoy's promises and that he's the only man from Avery's crew left on the island. Jack is worried, pointing out that McCoy is quite old. Jack and Featherstone later observe McCoy drinking in the Inn.
Jack and Featherstone find McCoy, who claims to know the way to the island and promises to help lead them to it. Mapleton that Woodes Rogers and Flint are sailing to Skeleton Island to trade the cache of gems for Madi's release, Jack Rackham and his quartermaster, Featherstone, work on trying to get there, as it is not on any maps.
Eventually, he was the last member of Avery's crew alive in Nassau.
During his career with Avery, he sailed to Skeleton Island. McCoy sailed with the crew of the legendary Henry Avery before retiring.
